Next free time:

Hello, I am Samuel

I grew up in Geneva and French is my first language. I spent eight years in Geneva international organizations, at CERN and then EFTA, where I worked with colleagues from all over the world and helped them settle in.

I have taught French in a language school in São Paulo, in small classes, and online as a private tutor. My lessons run every day, weekends included, from early morning to early evening, so you can also have a lesson before work.

Geneva know-how behind the lessons

Eight years at CERN and EFTA, plus my work with Geneva Expat Solutions (opens in a new tab), allow me to share practical tips on settling in alongside the French you need.

Before you book

Which levels do you teach?

All levels, from complete beginner to advanced.

Do you prepare students for the fide test or the DELF?

Yes, for the fide test and for the DELF at A2, B1 or B2. We work on speaking, listening, reading and writing with the fide model test and the published DELF sample papers, and we can run a timed practice test so the exam feels familiar. I do not grade exams or issue certificates. Read fide or DELF: which French exam to take in Geneva.

How often should we have lessons?

Once a week works well for steady progress, and some students meet twice a week. We agree on a rhythm after the first lesson.

Can I take lessons from outside Switzerland?

Yes, the lessons are online. The booking calendar shows my availability in your own time zone.
