What we work on
The French your job asks for
Meetings
Following the discussion, giving an update, asking for clarification, disagreeing politely.
Emails and messages
Writing clearly, using the right level of formality, answering quickly.
Phone and video calls
Handling the call when you cannot see the face of the person speaking.
Interviews and applications
Your CV, a cover letter and common interview questions in French.
Presentations
Structuring a short talk and answering questions.
Everyday talk with colleagues
Coffee machine conversations, lunch and small talk.
Method
Built around your real material
You bring what you actually face: an email you have to answer, a meeting agenda, a job advert, a report. We use it in the lesson. The vocabulary then comes from your own field, whether that is HR, finance, logistics, law, science or administration.
The lessons suit levels from A2 upwards. If you are a beginner, we begin with the French you need first at work and build from there. If your organisation already offers French courses, private lessons can add extra speaking time on your own situations.
Why I can help with this
I worked in administration at CERN (2017 to 2019) and as Facilities and Logistics Coordinator at EFTA (2020 to 2026), where I was also the main contact for staff administration. I know how international organisations in Geneva write, hold meetings and handle administration, and I teach the French that goes with it.
Lessons from CHF 50 per hour
Lessons run every day, including weekends, from 11:00 to 19:00 Geneva time, which includes lunchtime and late-afternoon slots. The first 30-minute conversation is free.
